Since 1979, The Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme has been developing leaders for the rural and agri-food sector, with some of the most successful farm innovators, industry, business, and political leaders coming through the programme over the last four decades.
While we have a strong and proud history, we continually evolve the programme with content and format reviewed after each course to meet changing industry and participant needs. The residential format of the programme creates cohort networks and friendships across the country and industry sectors through the mix of farmers, growers, producers with agribusiness professionals.
Initially founded by the Kellogg Foundation in USA, Lincoln University secured the rights to run the course in New Zealand from 1979 until NZ Rural Leaders took over administration in 2013.
