Lynsey Stratford

Biography

Lynsey Stratford is an equity partner in a 420 cow dairy farm on the Catlins coast in Curio Bay, Southland. She and husband Chris also sharemilk the property. Lynsey is a consultant with PeopleMAD Ltd and provides people management and development consultancy services and training with a focus on the primary sector.

Lynsey grew up in the UK where she worked as a solicitor before moving to New Zealand with Kiwi husband Chris.

She has a First Class degree in law from the University of Kent and is a New Zealand Institute of Primary Industry Management certified People Management Consultant and Dairy Environment Leader.

Mat’s report aims to provide a model for generating and capturing ideas to solve the wicked problems of food and agriculture.

The key element to solving this is bringing to bear the focus, passion, practical application and entrepreneurial drive of our farmers and growers. The innovation model needs to put them at the centre and build an innovation consciousness amongst our farmers and growers.
